Lindsey Thompson
Miss ORA 2020 Contestant
Kansas, OK
Age: 21

At 21 years old I am a sophomore at Northwest Arkansas Community College going for my Early Childhood Education Degree. I currently have a dream job of working the Therapeutic Equine department at Teen Challenge for boys in Marrow, Arkansas. My life also consists of rodeos, volunteering in my church, community projects, and fundraisers. I love representing the Rodeo and have held two queen titles, 2015 Siloam Springs Rodeo Queen and this year just passed on my title as "Miss Rodeo of the Ozarks", in Springdale, Arkansas. In fact, this last year I was able to buy my first truck and trailer which allowed me the freedom to go more often and represent, meet people, and share my love for the sport of Rodeo. One of my personal goals is to always leave a positive impact on those around me.

Why do you want to be Miss ORA?

I would love nothing more than to be part of a sport that unites people and communities like the Rodeo does. What other sport besides Rodeo represents generations of a lifestyle and values? Growing up on a ranch and participating in the Rodeo has given me a passion for the sport and I would love being a champion and ambassador for the Ozark Rodeo Association. If given the opportunity I would enthusiastically ride in as many arenas, meet has many people, and speak wherever the opportunity affords me. I would want to promote the Rodeo as not just a sport but as a tradition that brings communities together through our rich past. My love for this sport motivates me to give my best and do everything I can to promote the ORA in a positive impactful way.
