Jadelen Mendenhall
Miss Teen ORA 2020 Contestant
Blackwell, MO
Age: 14

My name is Jadelen Grace Mendenhall. I am 14, born April 5, 2005 in Potosi, MO to Travis and Brittany Mendenhall. I am a freshman at Potosi, MO High School. I am active in the 4-H and member of FFA. My life revolves around 4 hooves and 3 barrels. My best friend is Opal, my grey quarter mare. Together her and I conquer the world and chase dreams lightning fast. For fun I ride my horse. I camp with my horse all weekend long, just us. I do my homework from the saddle finishing up any lessons eager to hit the barrels. I practice my barrel patter every night, and every morning my horse walks me to the bus stop. My dream vacation consists of a wekk in Eminence. My goals are, I want to be a professional barrel racer and withhold world titles, win trucks and trailers and saddles, but today's goals and dream are being lived out these very moments. I want to be your next Miss Teen Ozark Rodeo Association Queen 2020, and proudly represent who I already am. This would not be a biography without mentioning the heroes in my life. One is my grandma Patti, who takes Opal and I everywhere. Then there is my Papa Barry Perry. He operated all the auction barns around home, I literally grew up in the sale barn. I was his whole world and he was my everything... and I lost him in a horse accident a few years back. Every ride I pray to him and God, I know he is my wings that carry me through.

Why do you want to be Miss Teen ORA?

I want to be that face and symbol of rodeo. I want to be depended on to represent this western lifestyle. I want to trust in knowing I am the best cowgirl to withhold this title. I am true in what I represent. I represent love, knowledge, skill, sportsmanship, heart, grit, independence, and GOD. I will give my time to be the spokesman aspiring encouraging words to competitors alike. I would be honored to represent the Ozark Rodeo Association, and withhold the title and be crowned Miss Teen Ozark Rodeo Association.
